Elizabeth Helms, widow of William Helms, died at her home in Lincoln Park, Monday evening. Burial will be in Crownland Cemetery. Came to the city after the death of her husband nineteen years ago. She was a highly respected woman. Survivors include: son Samuel S. Helms of Noblesville, Mrs. Sylvia Dawson, and Grant Helms of Michigantown, Isaac C. Helms of New Castle, Mrs. Mary A. Lackey and Cash Helms of Indianapolis.

(2) John Henry HIDAY, b. 12 Dec. 1830, OH; d. 17 Feb. 1854, Hamilton Co. IN; m. 17 Jul. 1851 in Hamilton Co. IN, to Mary Ann.

During the Civil War he enlisted at Indianapolis on the 13th of Mar. 1862 & was honorably discharged the 8th of Jul. 1865 at Indianapolis. He was a Private in the 17th Battery Artillery Ind. vol.

Milton Hiday, an old soldier of the civil war, died at the home of Philip Beaver, in Fall Creek township, Tuesday, of the infirmities of old age in his 76th year. Funeral a 10 a. m., Thursday, at Bethlehem church, Rev. John Wyant officiating. Burial in Lowery grave yard.
